Heather Kent

I find education to be a deeply rewarding and exciting endeavor, particularly in the arts. Teaching provides the unique experience of working with others in their creative process, allowing me to explore technical and aesthetic aspects of ceramics I wouldn’t get to on my own. But most importantly I get to introduce students to the magic of being an artist and maker, of the value of the handmade, of taking risks, and of embracing failure as part of the learning and artistic process.
